It's already August!

So I suppose a more accurate description would be that this is what's been going on in late Summer.

Playing: I haven't played any games, at all, which is a little sad. I have been playing around with blog design as you see from the fancy, new design going on, of which I'm still trying to iron out the kinks.

Drinking: I've been drinking shakes/smoothies almost every morning. I love that I'm able to get some vegetables and fruits in my diet in a way that doesn't take a ton of effort. My new goal is to actually get my green shakes green instead of muddy colored. I think I need to add more spinach.

Eating: Lots of Indian flavors. I made Chicken Shawarma in the crockpot last week and it was amazing. I'll be sharing the recipe soon. I'm also obsessed with avocados, and make this awesome sandwich spread with feta. I would eat it by the spoonful if I thought I could get away with it.

Watching: Most consistently I'm watching So You Think You Can Dance and remembering why I liked the show so much when I first watched it. I haven't watched all the seasons, because it would fall off my radar and I would forget. But, I love that it's on in the Summer. It's really exciting and moving each week to watch.

Listening: The Summer Playlist, of course, is on heavy rotation. But I'm particularly loving Dwntwn's "Til Tomorrow". I also really like their song, "Missing You." Here's the video for "Til Tomorrow".

Wearing: Michelle teased me recently about how many pairs of yoga pants I own. "But they're all different" I responded. And it's true. My favorite pair which I would wear every day if I could, are a little more like a combined yoga capri & tights. They're incredibly comfortable and I love the way they feel. I found them randomly at TJ Maxx in the Spring. They are Marika Balance brand and this is the closest I could find to the pair I have. (I think the link is an updated version of the pair I own.)

Reading: Under Magnolia: A Southern Memoir by Frances Mayes. Mayes wrote Under the Tuscan Sun about her experiences living in Tuscany. This is about her growing up in Georgia (a town with the same name as my own given, maiden name), and it is amazing how similar her childhood and background are to my own. I'm nodding along, highlighting sections, and feeling very connected to Mayes'.

Feeling: The pressure of August, the ending of Summer, and all the looming deadlines

Weather: Good grief has it rained the past few weeks! Today, I got caught in a rainstorm while walking. I have to admit, I kind of loved it.

Wanting : to sleep better. My sleep the past two nights has been terrible.

Wishing: mosquitos would just disappear. I'm tired of being eaten alive every time I go outside.

Hoping: I get all of the things accomplished before classes start.

Enjoying: Cooking and Baking, trying new recipes, and deciding what I will and won't make again, how I will change it, etc.

Loving: Spending time with M
