30 Days: They say it takes 30 days to make or break a habit. What did you start? What did you quit?
Technically, running fits into both of these categories, although I didn't quit running altogether. I did get lazy and gave up training for the half-marathon. But I'm starting again in January and will hopefully run the half as part of the Illinois marathon. We'll see how it goes.
I also tried to integrate vegetables more fully into my diet, which is tough because although I like quite a few vegetables, many of the ones I love can be time consuming and not always easy to find year-round, and I find that frozen veggies just aren't the same. I renewed my love of okra and also ate more spinach (mostly in salads) than I ever thought I would. I feel like I can always do better with this goal but the habit of thinking about food differently, as sustenance and nutritional value is important enough for me to continuously work on.
