Project Life 2012 Week Ten

I've been traveling a lot so am a little behind in posting Project Life layouts. I put weeks 10 and 11 together rather quickly and they are very photo heavy. Here is Week 10:

I started with Design B Photo Pockets. Week 10 was just beginning to get warm and glimpses of Spring were peeking through all the brown and grey. I added some color with cardstock and stamps. Amanda Blu Sara Stripe cardstock provides the background for Sharon Ann for Little Yellow Bicycle cardstock adhesive reading "Find Joy in Every Journey". The row underneath is one of my favorites. I used an Amerian Crafts Remarks clearback sticker of a camera and then traced over it in orange. Beside it is a 3x4 journaling card with a  Dear Lizzy Neapolitan mason jar on it. Inside I used Inkadinkadoo Months & Days Clear stamps to stamp the 10 for week 10. For journaling, I used Retro Collage Cardstock, which I'm totally loving right now. I like the way the card looks as though it's been partly cut off.

This page has play as its theme. We had to bowl twice 1 for our regular night and 1 for pre-bowling. M took a cool pic of the lanes, so I grabbed one of the bowling balls lined up. I didn't realize until afterwards but the balls were in a pattern of red and blue. The middle card is Pink Paislee Cupid Postcard. I played against the whimsy of it by sticking a K & Company Eliza Embossed Phrase in the middle as well as my handwriting. The first slot in the bottom row utilizes the Retro Collage cardstock and ATD's Serendipity Puffy Message Stickers. I love the way the puffy sticker stands out against such a busy background. For some reason, it just works. The splendid sunshine sticker is Dear Lizzy Spring Feather Phrases

Here I used the American Crafts 4x6 Page Protectors. I attached Recollection labels to many of the pictures during Week 10. As I said, it was picture heavy and not journal heavy. I used Basic Grey pieces to journal.

I made my mother-in-law's lasagne and it was a success! And I made edmame on a different night and it was really good. The journal card is from the Clementine kit.

Wednesday, March 7, 2012 my neice, Grace, was born. The two pictures in this layout were sent from my brother's phone. This is Design Page G, which worked really well for the design where I wanted to include details and embellishments moreso than pictures. The Pink Polka Dot paper and the stickers on the cardstock are from MAMBI It's a Girl kit. The striped cardstock is from that same kit. The embellishment on top of the striped paper that reads "Welcome to the Family" is MAMBI Soft Spoken Brand New Baby. Grace is spelled out in ATD Vibrant Lively stickers. The top grey card is from the Turquoise kit and on it, I stuck one of the American Crafts Remarks Clearback Fashion Multicolor Accents. The red star card is from the Cobalt kit.

More babies! This is Nora's page. We had lunch with Kate and her daughter, Nora, whom we babysat often. She is so cute and able to laugh and respond to us more noticeably now.

And that is Week Ten.
