form(ing) judgments

I'm working on a project ( a couple, actually) that explores the ways in which medical rhetoric frames and makes invisible non-normative bodies. Specifically, my work focuses on the lesbian body. I'm looking at intake forms and health brochures as well as websites and other locations of health information. I'm curious about the female body, in general as well and the ways in which the language of the forms create information, stories, narratives about who we are. What have been your experiences when seeking medical information? How has the language informed or misinformed you?
