momentum

I have lost count of how many loads of laundry I've done the past couple of days. M needed her work clothes washed so I got some quarters and we used the for pay washer and dryer downstairs in our building. We'd use these once before with little luck, but obviously the dryer is either new or been repaired because it worked wonderfully. So after this initial success I suggested that while I read, write and work that I could also do laundry downstairs, a few loads at a time and it would help a lot in terms of cleaning, and getting caught up on laundry, etc. So that's what I've been doing. I don't hate doing it, actually. I do hate folding sheets and towels, though. Thankfully, I think I've washed, dried and folded every single sheet and towel we own. I feel incredibly productive, even though it's just laundry.

I hope the momentum continues to build toward cleaning. The apartment needs a summer cleaning badly, full with throwing things away =). We're trying to get our apartment dog ready because we're looking to adopt a dog from the humane society where Michelle has been volunteering. I don't know if we're completely prepared for such a commitment but now is as a good a time as any to find out.
