I hadn't planned on blogging about this but I am seriously tired of being treated like I don't know what I'm talking about (in terms of technology) because I'm a girl. Seriously, I wanted to say," I hate to interrupt you being a white male and all, but I'm a person here." I wonder what it is about technology that makes men so particularly territorial and condescending. It's happened to me quite often in my teaching and research that assumptions are made about my knowledge or lack thereof. And though it's to be expected, I suppose, it's still irritating.
